Last Sunday, I took a train with my mother. On the train, a man spoke to us, but I couldn’t understand what he said because he was speaking Chinese.

My mother answered his question in Chinese. He looked happy.

I was surprised that my mother spoke Chinese. So, I asked my mother, “Why can you speak Chinese?”

My mother said, “I learn Chinese and other foreign languages because I have to speak with people from many countries.”

My mother looked cool when she was talking with the man.

I want to speak various languages like my mother.

母について話します。

母は博物館で働いています。そこにはたくさんの興味深いものがあります。多くの国から来た人たちがその博物館を訪れます。

先週の日曜日、私は母と一緒に電車に乗りました。電車の中で、一人の男性が私たちに話しかけてきましたが、中国語で話していたので、私は何を言っているのか分かりませんでした。

母はその男性の質問に中国語で答えました。男性はうれしそうでした。

私は母が中国語を話せることに驚きました。そこで、「どうして中国語が話せるの？」と母に聞きました。

母は、「たくさんの国の人たちと話さなければならないので、中国語やほかの外国語を勉強しているのよ。」と言いました。

男性と話している母はとてもかっこよく見えました。

私も母のように、いろいろな言語を話せるようになりたいです。
